Local housebuilder Arkwood Living has donated brand new match kits to Wirksworth Colts FC’s U8 Girls team ahead of the team’s first official game. The team is based in Wirksworth, near the housebuilder’s stunning new development, Mill View Meadows.
The Colts are a thriving grassroots club offering football opportunities for children and young people across the area. The U8 Girls have been working hard, and the new kits will ensure the team looks the part as the season gets underway.
Ceri Thornley, coach of the U8 Girls, said, “The support from Arkwood Living means a great deal to our young players. Having matching kits really helps build their confidence and sense of belonging. We’re very grateful for the donation.
“The team’s first match was played on 15th November against Toton U7s, and both sides did fantastic! It was great to see them looking so smart and professional in their new kits.”
